Using research to inform and design to deliver

Established in 2002, the Green Building Council of Australia purpose is to lead the sustainable transformation of the built environment. Green Star is an internationally recognised rating system setting the standard for healthy, resilient, positive buildings and places. The GBCA approached us to advise on their whether existing identities were fit for purpose.

  • We conducted a series of reserach workshops with the executive team and key industry stakeholders. The results indicated that a root and branch redesign of both the GBCA and Green Star identities were required.

  • Using the learnings of our research and the knowledge gained after working with the organsiation for over 10 years, we developed a flexible and professional indentity program for both arms of the business. Critical to the identity programs success was the positioning of the GBCA and Greenstar as the leading authority in sustainable transformation and the built environment.

  • In addition to defining an extensive list of applications for the new brand we handed over a comprehensive graphic standards manual that has empowered the internal marketing teams to make the identity their own. The new identities have been very well received by industry resulting in a significant increase in profile for both the GBCA and its flagship program, Green Star.
